Built in the 18th century, the family-run Regis Guest House is located a 30-minute walk from Edinburgh Rail Station and city centre, and offers free Wi-Fi and colourful bedrooms. Guests can find places for breakfast, lunch and dinner a 5-minute walk away. A complimentary continental breakfast is included in the room rate. A cooked breakfast is available at GBP 6 on request available at the guest house next door, the Braveheart at 26 Gilmore Place. The bedrooms have either en suite facilities or shared bathroom facilities. Those that share bathroom facilities have a wash basin with soap and they all come with a hairdryer, a flat-screen TV and tea/coffee making facilities. Edinburgh Castle and the National Museum of Scotland are a 20-minute walk from Regis Guest House. The Palace of Holyroodhouse is a 35-minute walk away.

There are 2 parking spaces within 100 metres of the property. Please note that parking spaces are limited and are on a first-come, first-served basis. There is pay parking near which costs around GBP 12 per day. Room is ready from 14:00 though it may be possible to check in prior that time. Reception is at 26 Gilmore Place which is 100 metres from Regis Guest House. Loss of key will incur a fee of GBP 20. Please note no breakfast will be served and room service will not be available on the 25th or 26th December.
