Placed at the foot of Snowdon Mountain, the YHA Snowdon Pen-y-Pass is surrounded by stunning Welsh landscape in a rural location, with no WiFi or mobile phone signal - offering guests a break from technology. Tasty food including a freshly cooked breakfast is on offer at this comfortable accommodation. At over 360 metres above sea level, this former mountain lodge is ideally located for trails up Snowdon. Guests can also enjoy treks exploring the Snowdonia National Park and its many hills and mountains. There is a dining room, and a kitchen for self-catering guests. The YHA Snowdon Pen-y-Pass also has its own bar and restaurant with packed lunches available on request. The town of Caernarfon with its famous Castle and the picturesque Welsh coastline can be reached in 20 minutes by car. The popular Snowdon Mountain Railway is found in Llanberis, just a 10-minute drive away.

All guests must show a valid photo ID upon check-in. Driver’s license, passport, student ID or similarly recognised national identity cards are accepted. Please note that towels are not included in the room rate. Guests can hire them at the property or bring their own. Group bookings: All bookings for 17 people or more cannot be accepted by YHA. Please note that parking at the hostel is limited, and is allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. There is a car park directly opposite, which is free between 17:00 and 09:00. Charges are applicable during the day. Please note this property does not charge an additional temporary membership fee.
