In the village of Hunton, in Lower Wensleydale and on the edge of the Dales National Park, The Countryman’s Inn boasts an award-winning restaurant and real local ales. A short 7-mile drive from the A1, it has free parking and free WiFi. Set in a traditional old country Inn, each non-smoking room offers a flat screen digital TV/DVD player, DAB radio and a private bathroom. Free tea, coffee, mineral water and biscuits are also provided in every room. The Countryman’s popular bar stocks a wide selection of local Cask Marque ales and fine wines. The restaurant serves a varied traditional British menu using home grown and fresh local produce. To the rear there are views of the local countryside, pleasant garden and terrace. The A1 motorway is just 7 miles away, whilst the market towns of Bedale, Leyburn and Richmond can be reached in 10 minutes' drive, and Catterick Garrison is 5 minutes away.

Please note that the normal check-in time is 18:00. Earlier check-in is not possible. Saturday check-in is available from 12:00 until 14:30 and from 18:00 until 23:00. Sunday check-in is available from 12:00 until 23.00. Guests should kindly note free parking is available both at the rear and front of the building. The rear car park is accessed through a narrow archway. However, the off-street, private parking to the front of the building is easily accessible with no restrictions. Please note that this hotel does not accept American Express. Please note that not all rooms can accommodate extra beds, please see specific room descriptions for details. The Countryman's kitchen winter opening hours are: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday Friday and Saturday 18.00 to 20.30 Sunday 12.00 to 18.00. Please note any guest who takes takeaway food to their room without prior permission may be subject to a supplementary GBP 20 room cleaning charge to cover the additional cost of removing rubbish and food odours.
