Grasmere village can be reached in less than 5 minutes’ drive, and the Wordsworth Museum is just over a mile from Thorney How. There are a variety of scenic walking routes to enjoy around the surrounding area. You can relax in the traditional lounge, with a leather sofa and open fireplace. Evening meals are served at around 19:00 and a bar is available from 15:30 until 23:00. Included in some rates is a simple breakfast with cereal, toast, tea and coffee. Full English options are also available for a surcharge. Rooms at Thorney How are simply furnished, with bunk beds and a seating area. Each has beautiful views of the National Park. Cycle hire with electric bikes are available.

Towels can be hired by guests. Free parking is available from 15:30 on the day of arrival until 10:30 on the day of departure. The property kindly requests that guests bring just 1 vehicle per room booked. Advanced parking reservations are not possible. The property is fully closed between 10:30 and 15:30. WiFi is available between the hours of 07:30 to 10:30 and 15:30 to 23:00. Mobile reception is intermittent and the property recommends printing a map or directions to aid in locating the property.
