Located on the south side of Edinburgh city centre, The Thrums is near the University, Holyrood Park and Palace, and Edinburgh Castle. Bars, cafes and fine restaurants are within a few minutes' walk. Thrums is 2 large Georgian houses and many rooms have period features. There is a guest lounge and a large rear gardens. There is no lift.

The Thrums cannot accept any bookings confirmed using either American Express (AMEX) or Diners cards. Any arrivals after 22.00 are subject to an hourly late fee.
