Offering panoramic views of Funchal and its harbour, this Mediterranean mansion is surrounded by tropical gardens with fruit trees. The villa is decorated with antique furniture and offers sunny accommodations. With free Wi-Fi, all rooms and suites at Quinta São Gonçalo offer views of the surrounding banana trees or Atlantic Ocean. All have fresh flowers, wooden floors and a private bathroom. Breakfast is served on the veranda terrace and includes Madeiran bread and fresh fruits. Regional meals using home-grown ingredients can be served in São Gonçalo’s dining room if requested in advance. Guests can relax in the gardens or play a game of golf at the Palheiro and Santo da Serra golf courses, less than a 30-minute drive away. The centre of Funchal is a 10-minute drive from the quinta. The owners can arrange car rentals and airport shuttles to Madeira Airport, 12 km away. Free parking is available, and a bus stop with connections to Funchal’s centre is 50 metres away.
