A former summer residence of the countess of Schaumburg Lippe, the small but stylish Villa Basileia is peacefully situated on the bank of the Teplá river, close to the spa area. It houses the experimental Le Marché restaurant, which offers a different approach to gastronomy. There are 2 daily 3-course menus offered, using fresh seasonal ingredients. Selected French and Moravian wines and champagne and Pilsner draft beer is offered to complement the dining treats. Le Marché also comprise a beautiful garden with grill facilities, where fish, meat or vegetables specialities are barbecued in nice weather conditions. In addition, guests can also enjoy original chocolate and fruit desserts and a variety of Davidoff Grand Cru. Thanks to the hotel's position, Villa Basileia is ideal for jogging and as a base for hiking and cycling tours. There are a number of golf courses and tennis courts within easy reach. Guests can enjoy Thai massages on site. Karlovy Vary is the place of the International Film Festival and Villa Basileia is situated close to the cinema halls.
