YHA Beer is 8 minutes’ walk from the village of Beer, which is situated on the 95-mile long Jurassic Coast, England's first natural World Heritage Site. Mackerel fishing and fossil hunting can be enjoyed on the local beach, which is just 15 minutes’ walk. Pecorama Pleasure Gardens are 0.5 miles away and feature the Beer Heights Light Railway and an exhibition of model railways. 24-hour access (once checked-in), a garden and self-catering kitchen are featured at YHA beer, as well as an on-site restaurant, shop and TV lounge. Free private parking is also provided, and guests can make use of a library, meeting room and cycle storage.

Evening meals will not available to purchase at the hostel between 01 November 2016 and 10 February 2017. All guests must show a valid photo ID upon check-in. Driver’s license, passport, student ID or similarly recognised national identity cards are accepted. Group bookings: All bookings for 17 people or more cannot be accepted by YHA. Please note that towels are not included in the room rate. Guests can hire them at the property or bring their own. All rooms contain bunk beds Please note this property does not charge an additional temporary membership fee. Discounts are not available for members of YHA (England and Wales) or IYHF as part of this booking. Reception is open from 17:00 until 21:00 each day. Once checked in there is 24-hour access to the hostel.
