Set in the small fishing town of Oban, Corran House Hostel is made up of two buildings in a Victorian terrace with scenic views across the bay to the Isle of Kerrera and the hills of Mull. A TV is featured in all rooms at Corran. Most have private bathroom facilities, and some have sea views. A spacious and fully-equipped shared kitchen is available for guests’ use, with seating for 20 people. Towels are provided. A large range of malt whiskies, bar meals, and a big-screen TV with Sky are featured in the on-site bar, which overlooks the sea. There is also a pool table and an adjacent patio area. Guests can enjoy a 10% discount when dining in the hostel's bar, Markie Dans. Oban town centre is a 10-minute walk from the hostel, and features the Oban Distillery and McCaig's Tower. St Columba's Cathedral is less than a 5-minute walk away. Glencruitten Golf Course is 1 mile away, and is nestled among the hills of Glencruitten Estate.
Important information
Some rooms may be located in the building next to the main hostel. These rooms are indicated in the room description. No private parking facility is available on site but ample parking can be found on either side of the building in the council car parks that are free after 18:00. However, there is an hourly charge during the day. Please note that there is no lift in the building and upper floors can be accessed only via stairs. Please note that the hostel does not accept American Express. Tea and coffee-making facilities are available in the kitchen only. All food and drink must be kept here and not in the guest rooms.
