Featuring an on-site restaurant and game room, this hostel offers easy access to the Trans Canada Highway and Canmore city centre. Some rooms include a fireplace at The Hostel Bear. All room have rustic furnishings and en suite bathrooms. Additional bathroom facilities are also located in the halls and throughout the building. A convenient guest launderette is available at The Bear Hostel. A fully equipped, shared kitchen is also open to guests. The hostel front desk sells ski passes and can direct guests to ski storage. The Bear Hostel is 6 km from the Canmore Nordic Centre Provincial Park. The Canmore Golf and Curling Club is 10-minutes drive from the hostel.

Please note, the front desk is available from 7:00 - 0:00 daily. Due to Alberta legislation, the property not able to permit guests under 16 years of age in dormitory style rooms. Travelers with anyone under that age, please reserve a private room or contact The Hostel Bear for further information. Please note, guests can only book a maximum of 7 nights. Longer stays need to be split up into separate reservations. Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.
