معلومات حول YHA Lake Tekapo

Located right on the shores of Lake Tekapo, this backpacker hostel offers mountain views and a large lounge room overlooking the lake. In the lounge room, you can relax in front of the log fire, play the piano or watch the large TV. YHA Lake Tekapo is 3 minutes’ drive from the Mount John Observatory and 1.2 km from Tekapo Springs. The friendly hostel staff can book Kiwi Experience and Magic Bus travel passes. The large shared kitchen is well-equipped and includes a rice cooker, panini toaster and free herbs and spices. Restaurants and cafes are within a 10-minute walk of Lake Tekapo YHA. Guests can choose between private and dormitory rooms. All rooms are heated and all bed linen is provided. Self-service laundry facilities and bicycle/luggage storage facilities are available.

Guests 17 years or younger are not permitted to stay in dormitory accommodation unless that dormitory is privatised, where all beds are booked in the room and a minimum of one adult is part of the booking party. All guests 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult for any booking and that adult is responsible for actions of all the youths within that booking party. If you expect to arrive outside reception opening hours, please inform YHA Lake Tekapo in advance, using the contact details found on the booking confirmation. Reception hours are 8:30-19:30. YHA members receive 1GB of free WiFi per day. Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in.
