Located at the gates to the romantic Franconian Forest, this guesthouse is the ideal starting point for excursions in the Bavarian countryside The family-run Gasthof Goldene Krone has spacious rooms decorated in a homelike fashion, with wooden furnishings and carpets. Every room comes with a TV and offers a view of either Selbitz Church or the town centre. The accommodation’s homelike restaurant offers traditional regional dishes. Some of the meat and poultry dishes use produce from the chef’s own breeding and butchery. Guests can explore hiking trails, such as the Bockpfeil Trail circling Selbitz, or one of the Hoellental Valley paths leading to Mount Doebra. The beautiful landscape can also be enjoyed by bicycle on the famous Selbitztal Cycle Path. Gasthof Goldene Krone is only 50 metres from Selbitz Train Station.

Any extra beds are provided subject to availability (see Hotel Policies). Requests must be confirmed by the hotel. Smoking or non-smoking rooms are available upon request. Please note that the house is not wheelchair-accessible and has no elevator. Please note that the restaurant is open from 18:00 until 20:30 and breakfast is served from 07:00-10:00 and from 08:00 - 10:00 on Sundays. For late arrivals, a key safe is available to check-in. Late check-in must be confirmed by the property in advance. There is no air conditioning. There are public parking spaces in front of the property and at the opposite side of the street. Please inform Gasthof Goldene Krone in advance of your expected arrival time.
