YHA Rotorua is located next to Kuirau Park which features geothermal activity. This affordable accommodation offers an outdoor deck with barbecue facilities, a modern shared kitchen, free unlimited WiFi and free on-site parking. Rotorua YHA is a 2-minute walk from the city centre and a 15-minute drive from Rotorua International Airport. It is a 10-minute walk from Rotorua Museum and 900 metres from Lake Rotorua. Guests can choose to stay in a lively dormitory room or in the comfort of their own private room. Bathroom facilities are shared for most room types. There is a guest lounge with TV and a wide selection of DVD titles. The staff at the tour desk can assist with booking activities like Geo-thermal tours, Maori cultural experiences and trips to hot mineral spas.

YHA members receive 1GB of free WiFi per day. Guests 17 years or younger are not permitted to stay in dormitory accommodation unless that dormitory is privatised, where all beds are booked in the room and a minimum of one adult is part of the booking party. All guests 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult for any booking and that adult is responsible for actions of all the youths within that booking party.
