Akane-an is a traditional Machiya townhouse that can be rented as a whole, located just a 5-minute walk from Nijo-jo Mae Subway Station. It comes with a private garden, and features Japanese style living room with tatami (woven-straw) flooring and wooden-floored bedroom with Western beds. A flat-screen TV, an electric kettle and free green tea bags are provided at the property. The kitchenette comes with a fridge and a microwave. The en suite bathroom is equipped with a bath tub made from Hinoki cypress wood. Some guests sleep in Japanese futon bedding. Akane-an is situated a 7-minute walk from Nijo-jo Castle, a World Heritage Site, and a 15-minute walk from Kyoto Museum. No meals are served.

After the reservation has been confirmed, guests will receive an email with the code for the townhouse's electronic lock, the management company's phone number, along with the address and map for the management company’s ‘Check-in Desk’. You can complete your check-in procedure at the ‘Machiya Residence Inn Check-in Desk’, which is located a 3-minute walk from Kyoto Station. For further questions or concerns, please contact the management company directly. The total price of the booking will be charged on the day of booking. If guests cancel the booking, part of the charged fee will be refunded in accordance with the property's cancellation policy. Please contact the property in advance if guests wish to use a baby cot.
