This youth hostel is a 500-year-old wine cellar situated in the Medieval heart of Königsberg. It offers free Wi-Fi and is surrounded by great hiking and cycling trails here in Franconia’s Haßberge Nature Park. The simply furnished rooms and dormitories at the Jugendherberge Königsberg in Bayern have a seating area, wardrobe and wooden furniture. Guests have access to shared bathroom facilities in the hallway. A breakfast buffet is providied each morning in the spacious dining room, and vending machines are available. Outside there is a large area for barbecues and campfires. Leisure facilities include indoor and outdoor tennis table tables, table football and a large cellar where guests can play basketball, volleyball and football. Board games can also be hired, and there is a storage area for bicycles. During the week, public buses run hourly between Königsberg and Haßfurt Train Station, 9 km away. Please note that guests need to be a member of the DJH (German youth hostel association) or Hostelling International. Membership can be acquired at check in. International guests without membership pay a surcharge of EUR 3.50 per night. German residents aged 26 or younger can become a member of the German Youth Hostel Association for EUR 7 per year, older guests and families pay EUR 22,50 per year.
