Located right in front of the ski lifts to Shiga Kogen Sun Valley Ski Resort, Villa Alpen offers simple rooms with mountain views. There are 2 computers with WiFi at the lobby which guests can use for free. Guests can refresh in the spacious 24-hour public baths. Ski equipment rentals are available but must be reserved at time of booking. Rooms feature heating facilities, green tea bags and a thermos bottle. All rooms come with a private toilet and a washbasin, while some rooms come with a private bathroom as well. Guests can sit by the fireplace at the shared lounge and enjoy drinking local beers and cocktails. Ski storage is available and guests can use the coin-operated launderette as well. Free on-site parking is available during the summer season. Guests can enjoy various international dishes for dinner while a Japanese-style breakfast is prepared daily at the dining area. Alpen Villa is a 25-minute drive from Yudanaka Train Station and a 30-minute drive from Snow Monkey Park. JR Nagano Train Station is a 1-hour drive away.

Guests without a meal plan who want to eat dinner at the property must make a reservation at least 1 day in advance. You must inform the hotel in advance what time you plan to check in. If your check-in time changes, please update the hotel. Guests with a tattoo may not be permitted to enter public bathing areas and other public facilities. An additional heating fee per room per night may be charged. A limited number of TVs can be rented for in-room use, on a first-come, first-served basis. The property owner will bring the TV to your room. The on-site parking is not available during the winter season. However, public parking space is available at the Sun Valley Ski Resort, where guests can park instead. Sleds can be borrowed to carry luggage from the parking area to the accommodation, but guests will have to carry their own luggage. Ski rentals are available upon request at time of booking.
