Just off Iceland’s Ring Road/Route 1, these self-service cottages also have access to a guest kitchen, TV lounge and laundry room. Akureyri town centre is a 10-minute walk away. Wi-Fi is free. Cottages at Akureyri H.I. feature simple décor and furnishings. Some have their own kitchen, bathroom and private hot tub. The neighbouring hostel’s facilities are available for cottage guests. These include a furnished terrace and BBQ equipment. A laptop internet computer can be borrowed for free. The nearest supermarket is 100 metres from H.I. Cottages Akureyri. Discounts at local restaurants can also be arranged. Akureyri Botanic Gardens is within 5 minutes’ drive.

Although all rates are quoted in EUR, please note that charges will be made in ISK according to the exchange rate on the day that the charge is made. Bed linen and towels are not included. You can rent them on site or bring your own. If you expect to arrive outside check-in hours, please inform Akureyri H.I. Cottages in advance. Check-in takes place in the main building, which is Akureyri H.I. Hostel. From September to May, the reception is open from 16:00 until 19:00.
