Located directly on Prora’s sandy beach on the Baltic Sea Coast, this hostel offers bright rooms and dormitories, a large dining room and rental bicycles. Volleyball and water sports facilities are available. A light breakfast is available every morning at Prora Jugendherberge, and a range of German dishes are available in the evenings. Barbecue facilities are available outside. The spacious rooms and dormitories at Jugendherberge Prora are simply furnished, and have either a private or shared bathroom. The hostel is a great base for exploring the Rügen countryside and surrounding lakes. Prora Train Station is a 10-minute walk away, and free parking is available nearby.
Important information
If you expect to arrive after 18:00, please call Jugendherberge Prora in advance. Please note that towels can be rented on-site for a small fee. If you are not a member of the German Youth Hostel Association (DJH) or Hostelling International (HI), you can buy a membership card on arrival. International guests without membership pay a EUR 3.50 surcharge per night, German residents aged under 26 pay an annual membership of EUR 7, and guests over 26 or families pay EUR 22.50 per year. Lunch and dinner are available for a surcharge. Vegetarian meals are available, but must be requested in advance. Please note that the VAT tax is included in the booking price. The listed city tax (“Kurtaxe” in German) is the maximum per person per night, and may be lower in the off-season. Please note that international guests pay a small daily surcharge.
