Tucked away in the stunning surroundings of Garmisch-Patenkirchen in the area of Saulgrub, this country-style guest house offers a traditional flair. Decorated either in a traditional or classic style, Ammertalerhof’s rooms each feature satellite TV, a private bathroom and views of the area. Guests are offered a daily breakfast on request and the restaurant in the guest house serves international and regional dishes in the evenings. Saulgrub is ideal for hikers and cyclists, and the guest house also has a sun terrace. There is also an indoor climbing gym 280 metres away. While the famous Neuschwanstein Castle is 40 km from Ammertalerhof, the Zugspitze mountain is 55 km away. The guest house is conveniently located a 10-minute walk away from Altenau Train Station. Free parking is also available at Ammertalerhof.

The Ammertalhof reserves the right to cancel bookings if it is not notified in advance about guests bringing pets or about the ages of children. Guests must notify the hotel if they want to have children aged 1 year or above staying in the parents' bed. Upon arrival, guests are required to sign the hotel's policies and pay a refundable safety deposit by credit card or in cash. Please note that the restaurant is closed on Thursdays, and in the off-season it has limited opening hours. It is not possible to check in before 17:00 or after 21:00.
