The family-run Western Hotel is located in the heart of Galway, just off Eyre Square. The property offer live entertainment in The Western Bar 5 nights a week and hearty meals in The Western Restaurant each evening. Rooms at the Western have private bathrooms with baths, showers and hairdryers. They also include tea/coffee making facilities. Cooked and continental breakfasts are served daily in the restaurant. 3-course evening meals are served, and guests can enjoy a carvery, a light lunch menu, and an evening á la carte menu. Fine local produce is used in all meals. The bright and spacious Western Bar has a fine selection of drinks and shows major sporting events on large screen TVs. It also hosts regular live music and DJ’s. Free on-site, valet parking is available for all guests and Galway Bus and Train Stations are within a 5-minute walk. The Bold Art Gallery, Galway Shopping Center and the Greyhound Stadium are also nearby.

Group Policy The Western Hotel prefers not to accommodate groups of 8 or more people. Should the group be excepted, a security deposit in the form of cash or credit card pre-authorisation for EUR 35 per head, but no less than EUR 350 is required on check-in. Furthermore it is required a signed statement that all damages exceeding this amount will be covered by the primary booker. This deposit is refunded on departure if no damage has occurred. Please note that for bookings of 4 rooms or more, the payment options and cancellation policies are different. The required deposit is 50% at the time of booking and a further 50% deposit is required at least 2 weeks prior to arrival. The property will contact guests shortly after booking to confirm the procedure, along with details regarding the security deposit required upon arrival. The Western Hotel offers free underground Valet Car Park for all guests. Guests checking into CityPoint Apartments are also asked to arrive for their check-in to The Western Hotel. They will be given further instructions at reception. Directions to Hotel’s short term underground parking: Arriving from any direction, follow the signs to the City Centre and Eyre Square. Once on Eyre Square, take the road exiting the square at the top right-hand corner at Richardson’s Pub. Proceed onwards on the left lane. Pass TK Maxx, Galway City Council building and The Western Hotel and take the first turn left, then left again into St. Bridget’s Place. The underground car park is on the left, down the ramp.
