With an elegant Jacobean Great Hall, this resort a features a leisure centre and traditional restaurant. Thurnham Hall is a 12th-century country estate, set in nearly 30 acres of grounds in scenic Lancashire. The stylish, self-catering accommodation is set in either the historic main house or in modern courtyard buildings. All apartments and studios have a satellite TV and a private bathroom. The leisure centre at Thurnham Hall has a large indoor swimming pool and a state-of-the-art fitness suite. Guests can relax in the sauna and spa bath, or enjoy treatments in the beauty salon. Thurnham Hall Restaurant opens at 12 noon and offers both fine and casual dining, and serves an international menu and wine list. All apartments have a kitchen/kitchenette with full self-catering facilities.

Apartment refurbishments will take place from 19 February 2017 to 25 May 2017. This work will be conducted from 07:00 - 18:00. Garden and paths renovation will take place from 19 February 2017 to 25 May 2017. This work will be conducted from 08:00 - 16:00. Re-paving the accessing road from front of house to the woodlands and car park from 19 February 2017 to 25 May 2017. This work will be conducted from 08:00 - 17:00. Refurbishment work to the main house, library and chapel will take place from 19 September 2017 to 18 December 2017. This work will be conducted from 08:00 - 16:00. The property would like to apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. Please note that this property cannot accommodate hen and stag, or similar parties. The swimming pool operates an adult-only policy at certain times. The gym can only be used by guests who are aged 18 and over, or 16-17 with adult supervision; the swimming pool can only be used by those over the age of 16 unless supervised by an adults. Apartments are not all on one level and there may be steps to access. Some units have a mezzanine layout and overlook the lounge area. Some units are wheelchair accessible and requests for these must be confirmed by the resort. We advise any requests not to be in an accessible apartment are requested with the resort prior to arrival although these cannot be guaranteed. Please note that children of all ages are included in the maximum occupancy of the apartments. One child under 2 years stays free of charge in a child's cot/crib. The maximum number of cots/cribs in a room is 1. There is no capacity for extra beds in the room. Sofa beds are not made up on arrival, please contact the property directly to arrange this in advance. One car parking space permit is permitted per room. Tables in the restaurant are limited and advance booking is recommended to guarantee your reservation. Breakfast is served from 09:00–11:00 and food service is available from 12:00 (last food orders 20:45). The bar is open from 09:00 to 23:00. Apartments are not cleaned on a daily basis. The number of cleans depends on the length of stay. Extra cleaning services are available for an additional fee. Apartment linen is not changed on a daily basis.
