Refurbished in 2016, The Ultimo features affordable accommodation in the vibrant Chinatown district, near the heart of Sydney. All rooms include private bathroom facilities and a flat-screen TV. Each room at The Ultimo has central air conditioning and heating, plus tea/coffee making facilities and a bar fridge. A pet friendly courtyard room is available. The Ultimo is just a 3-minute walk from bus and light rail stops. It is only a 5-minute walk from the Central Train Station, providing easy access to all of Sydney’s attractions. Many shops, restaurants, bars, cinemas and theatres are in the surrounding area. The famous Paddy's Markets are just across the street. Darling Harbour is a 5-minute walk away. Queen Victoria Building, Hyde park and The Rocks are just 1 or 2 train stops away.

Please note that the hotel’s lift will be out of service from 14 December 2016 until end of January 2017 (completion date subject to change). During renovations, the hotel will make every effort to minimise noise and disturbance. There will be a hotel porterage service available while during this period. Please note that there is a 1.5% charge when you pay with a Visa or Mastercard credit card and a 3.5% charge when you pay with an American Express, Union Pay, JCB or Diners credit card. You must show a valid credit card upon check in. This credit card must be in the same name as the guest's name on the booking confirmation Please note that The Ultimo requires a AUD 100 credit card pre-authorisation upon check in to cover any incidental charges. A credit card pre-authorisation is a freeze placed on your account by your financial institution and is not a debit to the account. Upon checkout any outstanding balance owed will be confirmed and debited to the card provided. If the balance is zero the full amount will release back to your account within the next 5-7 working days from your financial institution.
