All smoke free standard rooms have a refrigerator, tea/coffee maker and work desk. Each room has a bathroom with a hairdryer and guest toiletries. The hotel offers a 24-hour reception desk and a guest laundry. The tour desk can provide sightseeing advice and help guests with travel arrangements. Restaurant 1903 serves a varied breakfast buffet every morning. The privately owned Great Southern Bar offers a range of traditional 'pub-style' dishes for lunch and dinner.

Air Conditioning Upgrade Notice (Phase 2 of 4): From 3 January, 2017 until 1 October, 2017 the hotel will be upgrading the air conditioning units throughout various floors (maximum 10 rooms out of order at any given time). With this major project you should anticipate: · Varied noise levels between 9:00 - 18.00 daily. · Some noise levels may be loud or repetitive at times. · Work crews do not work on Sundays unless they experience weather delays. · There may be limited access to the buildings and courtyard at various times. Please be respectful of "Construction Zones. The owners and management of the Great Southern Hotel Sydney appreciate your cooperation as they upgrade the property for your future enjoyment. Please note that the total price of the reservation, plus a credit card administration fee, will be charged on the day of booking and is non-refundable. Please ensure the name on the card must match the details on the booking and your photo identification. Should payment be made by a third party, the hotel will require an authorisation form to be completed. Failure to provide this authorization form will result in the booking being cancelled. Please note there is a 0.5% charge when you pay with a Visa, UnionPay or Mastercard credit card and a 1.5% charge when you pay with an American Express, JCB credit card or Diners Club credit card. Please note that guests are required to present a valid photo ID and either a AUD 50 cash deposit or a pre-authorisation of a credit card for any damages or incidental charges. Please note that this hotel has a strict "No Party Policy". Any violation of this policy will result in eviction from the property and additional cleaning fees will be charged.
