This superior hotel occupies a historical building situated in the heart of Schotmar. The building was constructed in 1858, although the estate is mentioned under the name of "Winterberg" in records dating back to 1572. In June 2007 both the hotel's interior and façade were fully renovated.

Opening hours: Reception desk: 8 am – 2:30 pm; 5 pm – 11 pm The listed city tax (“Kurtaxe” in German) is the maximum per person per night, and may be lower in the off-season.
