Newly opened in 2011, the Amerika hotel is located in a residential area, 3 km from the city centre of Havířov. It offers stylish rooms, a restaurant serving American specialities, free Wi-Fi and free parking. Each room comes with a modern bathroom including a hairdryer, satellite TV and a seating area. There is also a garden with benches and a playground for children. Typical American food like ribs and steaks are served in the non-smoking restaurant and so is European cuisine, such as fish, fettuccine and the like.. Breakfast is served every morning. The Amerika hotel also features an inviting bar offering a wide range of drinks. The U Kříže bus stop is 50 metres from the hotel and indoor and outdoor tennis courts can be found just 300 metres away. The Těrlická přehrada artificial lake is reachable on foot in 10 minutes.
