Only 10 minutes' drive from Latina, Foro Appio Mansio Hotel is a historic post house once used on journeys to and from Rome. It offers a wellness centre and outdoor swimming pool. Every room is different. Some have wood-beamed ceilings, others feature stone arches or quotes on the walls. The rooms are air conditioned and come with free Wi-Fi. A sweet Italian breakfast is served each morning. There is also a bar and restaurant. Guests can relax in the wellness centre with sauna, Turkish bath and gym. Foro Appio Mansio is a 2-day walk from Rome. Nowadays, it's quicker to drive along the Via Pontina, which gets you there in around an hour.
