Located on the southern tip of the Ari Atoll is Maafushivaru Maldives, which is surrounded by clear waters with a house reef, powder-white soft sand and lush vegetation. This 500 metre long island features thatch-roofed villas, a spa and gym. The resort is 25-minute seaplane transfer away from Malé International Airport. Contemporary beach or over-water villas are air conditioned and equipped with a flat-screen TV with DVD player and iPod docking station. They also feature an outdoor terrace, espresso machine and spacious en suite bathroom with bath and shower. Guests can enjoy diving and snorkelling besides fishing. Relaxing massages can be arranged at the spa. There is also an outdoor swimming pool with children's pool. Free Wi-Fi is provided. Maafushivaru's main restaurant overlooks the lagoon and offers a buffet of international and local flavours. 135° East is a contemporary Teppanyaki and Sushi restaurant with its own over-water pavilion. Private dining arrangements can also be made. The Library Lounge coffee shop serves a range of tea and specialty coffees. There is also bar and wine chiller. Maafushivaru Maldives is located in the same lagoon as Lonubo. It is a 25-minute seaplane journey from Malé International Airport.

The resort will arrange for a 25-minute roundtrip seaplane transfer to the resort from Malé International Airport. Additional fees are not calculated automatically in the total cost and will have to be paid for separately during your stay. === Arrival transfers to/from Male International Airport to Maafushivaru begin from 06:00 and continue during daylight hours. Guests joining the last flight available for the day must check in by seaplane counter by 16:00. There are no night or evening transfers to Maafushivaru. Departure transfers from Maafushivaru to Malé International Airport are scheduled between 06:00 and 16:00, connecting to all international flights leaving from 09:00 onwards. There are no night or evening transfers from Maafushivaru. Guests joining international flights leaving in the evening are required to take the last seaplane for the day. Please note: baggage limit on the seaplane is 20 kg per person and 5 kg for hand luggage. Excess baggage would be charged at USD 4 per kg. Rates are subject to applicable GST.
