Hotel Il Portico is located on the shores of Lake Maggiore, next to the Santissima Pietà Sanctuary in Cannobio. The property is composed of a modern building and a villa from the 18th century. Most of the rooms are in the main building, and many have a beautiful lake view. The charming rooms in the villa are furnished with particular care, and overlook the private garden. The large restaurant has a panoramic terrace on the lakeside promenade. The cuisine is traditional, with homemade specialities. Il Portico offers free parking and is located opposite the ferry departure point for the Swiss side of the lake and the Borromean Gulf. The centre of town and public beach are a 5-minute walk away.
